This weekend held our first big outings as Hubs and Wife. Boo-yah!!
A friend had a rockin' good dance party in her backyard on Friday night. Complete with gourmet cupcakes, hanging lights and kegs of root beer. {It's what we call celebrating your 21st in style!}
We ate and danced and danced and ate. It was a converging of dance styles. Something like swing meets freestyle meets salsa meets Virginia Reel. My poor stomach was aching something fierce. I guess it doesn't like being gorged and then jostled like a crazy person.
One of my highlights from the night was Mom and Dad tearing it up on the dance floor . It makes me hold to the hope that we can still be awesome after 26 years of marriage! {Mwauh}
After our glorious day of sleeping in and waffles fresh outta our brand spankin' new wedding-gift-waffler, Hubs and I ventured to the booming metropolis of Washington Iowa for a friends wedding. At which I was sure to enjoy multiple slices of wedding cake, somehow trying to make up for the lack I endured at our own reception.
{Note to future brides: Guard your cake well and be sure that out of everything you do on your special day, that you enjoy at least one piece for yourself!}
